He arranged and conducted for a wide range of singers, including Jo Stafford, The Four Lads, Bing Crosby, Margaret Whiting, Gordon MacRae, Mel Torm?, Dinah Shore and Jack Smith - all are featured on this collection. This is a real must have with great collaborations from big name artists, plus Frank DeVol's solo material including his own creation: an album celebrating parts of the USA, entitled Modern Originals For Concert Orchestra, which is making its debut on CD after being unavailable for more than 50 years. 55 tracks. "This is a delicious concoction of instrumental arrangements, many drawn from Frank DeVol's Capitol LPs, and interspersed with vocals by The Four Lads, Jo Stafford, Bing Crosby, Margaret Whiting, Mel Tormé, Dinah Shore, Jack Smith, and Gordon MacRae. Even such timeworn numbers as "The Third Man Theme", "True Love", and "Tammy" have been refreshed by Mr. DeVol's treatment. This is timeless music, beautifully recorded, which is a pleasure to bask in."
