Piano pleases

"I got this CD because of the title track - "Fred the Cat." The music is lyrical, incorporating many themes and styles from the Caucasus and Armenian traditions. Hovhaness writes well for both the piano and orchestra ("The Mysterious Mountain" being his best-known composition)and I enjoyed the flow and variety of the music on this CD. Fred must have been quite a cat!"
