"Before the Next Teardrop Falls; Wasted Days and Wasted Nights; Roses Are Red; I have so many memories of sitting in the back seat of the car and singing along in my best Freddy Fender voice. Drove dad crazy, but those songs and Freddy's unique voice remind me of some of the most special times in life. It may be a Southwest thing, but this music gets into your soul and on these songs I feel like I am feeling part of Fender's soul as well. If you've never listened, REALLY listened, to Freddy Fender, give him a chance!"

"I've loved Freddy's style since I first heard him back in the seventies. His versions of Secret Love and Roses are Red are the best. I really love the Spanish versions after the English and vice-versa. Freddy is a real Mexican-American treasure."

"Anyone who can't be moved by these songs..........can't be moved. This is Freddy Fender at his best. My 5 year old grand daughter has been listening to him in my car on the way to school for about a year. She practically starts singing before the car is turned on and she knows all of the words. She will carry on my love for Freddy through at least another generation."
