CD ReviewsPleasing TheHighlander | Richfield, PA United States | 05/15/2002 (3 out of 5 stars) "For me three stars is a good a CD. Front Range is a fine band and this is a solid project. I enjoy the band but personally this ablum does not soar, it only flys. "The Hills That I Call Home" is an exceptional song and there are other good efforts including the fine instrumental "False Summit". This would be a good CD to fill out a bluegrass collection." Not sure if you like bluegrass? This'll make you a fan! TheHighlander | 10/30/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "I was fortunate to see this group in concert and they sound as good in person as they do in the studio. Their harmonies are strong and each member is an outstanding musician. Bob Amos writes some great lyrics and they're entertaining in concert. Songs range from lively (Back to Red River, Joanna) to dark and moving (Cold Northwind, Two Empty Arms) to silly (Sunny Side of Life). Some of the melodies and voice arrangements give me chills. Can't wait for their next release. You can't help but sing along-a truly great album from start to finish!" Even my 5 year-old daughter loves it. ajohn@madnet.net | Madera, CA | 11/18/1998 (5 out of 5 stars) "This CD has it all, from banjo and mandolin solos to an incredible acapella on the 7th track. (My daughter wont be driven to school now without hearing that song.) Every song flows with melody and "down-home" lyrics that provide hours of effortless listening."
