LUV G3 - HATE the Copy Protection That Sabotages Your Comput
David Lord | Clemons, Iowa United States | 11/05/2005
(1 out of 5 stars)

"This doesn't say Copy Protected so I'm assuming it does not install the same rootkit to your computer that the latest Switchfoot album does (see my review there to see how that type of copy protection eats up your CPU time even if you are no longer playing your music disc [it cannot legally be called a Compact Disc if it is copy protected] and reports personal info about you to Sony). At the same time, on some computers, after playing the G3 disc you will not be able to play other discs without rebooting your computer as your player will hang up after 8 or 10 seconds. Just so you know.

And if this copy protection program DOES install the same rootkit the Switchfoot CD installs, you may be REALLY screwed!!! Good luck..."
Consider NOT buying Rootkits!
James D. Reffner | Cincinnati, OH U.S.A. | 11/10/2005
(1 out of 5 stars)

"I strongly ask the potential buyers of this and other Sony products to consider not buying it. Since it contains a rootkit which can potentially damage your computer and certainly destroy your Fair Use rights you'd only be paving the way for Sony and other record companies to make this practice the norm. Don't buy this harmful product and they will eventually remove rootkits from your music. It's really very simple. Don't buy, or loose your rights. Think about it and decide for yourself. Thanks for reading."
Buy this on iTunes
Critical Mass | 11/16/2005

"Like others have stated, the CD is too short and also contains rootkit. Other than that, awesome music. For Windows users, download the songs from iTunes; works out cheaper (as it should). Then for extra backup, use Messer (i.e. google 'Messer')."
