"Just wanted to add to the other great reviews that this has stellar performance from an acoustic bass player (that's right, acoustic) you might have heard of named Steve Swallow. And Bob Moses (dr) and Larry Coryell (gt) do a great job also on these finely recorded concert. G. Burton was really at the peak of his creative powers right from the beginning of his career!"
Seminal jazz-rock (seminal JAZZ; period).

"This may well be a kind od sum of Burton quartet's RCA/Atlantic year. The beautiful, only official recording of this sadly underrated group, blending country-rockish and jazz sonorities. Great musicians deeply roted in jazz tradition for an airy, light and unique sound (the blending of vibraphone and electric guitar). Burton never did better and more personal music, in my humble opinion. A hidden classic."
