"I'm not usually a fan of Gary Chapman's music; I enjoy it, but not enough to buy a whole CD. I am a huge fan of Christmas music, however. So when this CD came out, I gave it a listen. I liked it enough in the store to buy it, and it's become a permanent part of my Christmas collection. The album opens with a fun version of "Rudolf" and "Santa Clause is Coming to Town." The album proceeds through a collection of standards that allows Gary to show off his voice. Highlights are the afore mentioned opener, "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," a slow, meditative version of "Mary, Did You Know," and an a cappella version of "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" that gives me goose bumps. The title track, a Christmas love song, could be for any time, but it really works for me as a Christmas song.Fans of good Christmas music should definitely give this CD a listen. It is well worth the price."

"I had never even heard of Gary Chapman before I bought this CD. I walked into a department store and heard this CD playing. While browsing the store, I enjoyed the music so much that I asked who it was. When the clerk brought out Gary Chapman's "This Gift" CD, I bought it on the spot. That was three years ago and I still love the CD and play it every Christmas. It's one of my favorites. Besides the melodious voice of Gary Chapman, the music arrangements are beautiful and the variety on the CD is great (between spiritual and secular songs). Gary's rendition of "O Holy Night," "Mary, Did You Know," and "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" are my favorites and I like them as much, if not more, than other artist's versions. If you're looking for a Christmas CD with beautiful AND fun Christmas music, this is it."
