"this colllection of gary glitter hits covers most of first decade as a rock star, from 1972 to 1982. The most famous ones are here, "leader of the gang", "do you wanna touch me", "hello, hello, i'm back again", "i love you, love me love", etc. It is only missing a few, such as the classic disco stomp "little boogie woogie in the back of my mind", and , of course, later hits such as "dance me up" and "through the years", if you must
have these songs buy one of the other 10 Gary Glitter best ofs out there. Despite his private activities thatsaw him end up in the slammer (jail) the music the Glitter has made is first rate, as can be seen by this collection."

"Gary Glitter is the second coming of Jesus, and back in Jesus's day being with kids was considered "fly." Does that make him a bad person for downloading child porn? Oh ofcourse! Downloading child porn is totally uncool, but that doesn't keep Gary Glitter from being an awesome musician.
Music is music is music, child molesters, murderers, and religious leaders are a completely different part of the cosmos that's far from music. Just because a man downloads some naughty pictures of children means his songs suddenly stink out loud? No way. His music is legendary and I whole heartily suggest that anyone who is fly listen to this compilation. Number one in the hood, G."
More Great Rock N Roll!

"This is what it says it is "The Best Of Gary Glitter". One of two of his best are missing, so for a more full picture you'd be better off getting the double cd hit's package "The Ultimate", however, for those of you who just want the big hits such as "Leader of the gang", "Always Yours", "I love you love me love" and "Rock and Roll", this will do the job nicely.
In the 1970's Gary Glitter was a superstar with world wide appeal, his music topped the charts and his tours sold out. However, once the decade ended he was in financial trouble. However, he found no problem in getting fans to come to his concerts and building up new fans was also easy over time. In 1981 he had his chart-comeback with "And Then She Kissed Me". Since then other hit's have followed, including "Dance Me Up", and Glitter has played sell out dates at venues such as Wembly Arena.
The Best of Gary Glitter is a collection of great rock and roll."
JUNGLE DRUMS

"Glitter's distinctive and unusual drum sound gave him several UK hits and even a Billboard Hot 100 hit or two in the early seventies, until the formula started wearing thin. There's not much difference between Rock & Roll Parts 1 and 2, while Leader Of The Gang is a chant in a similar vein as is I Love You Love Me Love, all strong drum driven hits. Here was more shouting and less drumming in Do You Wanna Touch Me and Hello I'm Back Again, but Glitter never really managed to achieve anything original outside of the formula. Of course all of the aforementioned were huge hits, as well as Always Yours, I idn't Know I Loved You and Remember Me This Way. As a 1970s novelty, it is amusing and different but I suspect this album will have limited appeal."
