"This a great album that has many songs that Gary likes to play at his concerts. If you have the opportunity to see Gary live, go for it, he is well worth the effort! I saw him in Corpus Christi last Saturday night and had a wonderful time. He loves his fans and will sign anything you give him and had time to chat with everyone during the breaks. This album is very south TX and has a mexican flavor, "Macho Man from Taco Land" was a riot! I also like his "home with the armadillo" CD, it is a classic."

"Totally Guacamole is GPN at his best...a terrific intro to folks who inexcusably are unaware of this giant talent! Just about every song is a winner--tuneful, clever, memorable. My favorites on this album are Purty Boys and Piece of the Ryman...only because I've already heard and heard and heard many of the others so often. Worth buying, even you've got most of the other songs on other albums!"
