Album Description "Gay Deceivers pull off a solid-if ADD-addled-sound that's akin to something like a lovechild between Tender Forever and the Fiery Furnaces, which is as weird and cool as you're imagining." -- Willamette Week. The debut album from Portland experimental pop band Gay Deceivers! The duo wrote this album over the course of three years, evolving their sound from a disparate blend of influences such as noise, Top 40 radio, metal, dancehall, Motown, and rock. The result is a technically accomplished, beat-driven journey with a strong avant-garde edge full of farreaching content. The group recorded Let It Come True with acclaimed shredder and engineer Radio Sloan (The Need, Peaches, Courtney Love) in her home studio, and mastered it with Mike Lastra of the seminal noise band Smegma. The album also features a number of guests and collaborations. STS (Cadallaca, The Haggard, The Lookers), Ryan Bukstein (Colt Vista), and Jenstar (The Online Romance, Fact or Fiction) all lend their talents to the album for a truly community-based and collaborative effort.
