"Pittsburgh native Gene Ludwig has played with the best and has been in the game for ages. A tasty player, clearly of the Jack McDuff/Jimmy Smith school of the Hammond he is probably one of the cleanest and most refined players on the scene today... and well respected by his collegues as evident in his appearences at varoius organ jams. He has that laid back B-3 blues groove down to a tee. He's in no hurry to get anywhere, and says it right and soulfully. - - Although not a household name, Pete Fallico's Doodlin' Lounge (KUSP.org) is prone to play cuts from his CDs (9-12 PST Monday nights over the web), but the samples should be enough to sell you to the fact that Ludwig knows his blues."
