"Richard Thompson once said there were three great white blues singers, and two of them were Geoff Muldaur. Add to that what Stevie Wonder said about Amos Garrett, that his guitar solo on Maria Muldaur's 'Midnight at the Oasis' was the second-best ever, and you have a great combination. This album is a classic. There's great tunes: blues from Percy Mayfield, jazz from Hoagy Carmichael, classical from Chopin, a wonderful Chuck Berry obscurity, and some originals. But most of all there's Muldaur's amazing voice and Garrett's amazing, dazzling guitar. If you like warmth, humour, wit and soul, you'll like this."
