Another rare item, this CD features four complete The Navy Swings shows from 1957 showcasing the great George Shearing Quintet, The incomparable George plays with an all star line up of renowned guitarist and virtuoso harmonica player Toots Thielemans, bassist Al McKibbon (one of the premier bassists from the early Be-Bop era), Percy Brice who started his musical career playing piano and violin, percussionist Armand Peraza who led an equally glittering career (probably his finest work were his seventies and eighties recordings with Santana). Legend has it that he mastered his craft in an afternoon.
