"This is a George Thorogood and The Delaware Destroyers live album, it's nothing you haven't heard before but in the immortal words of GT (by way of Jackie Gleason) "How sweet it is".
This smoking vault release from a Bean Town ballroom show in 1982 captures the Destroyers early in their 1980's peak of popularity. This is the era of the 50-50 tour, J. Geils Band double bills and Rolling Stones opening slots. George Thorogood is the king of rock and roll anywhere and anytime he plays and this CD demonstrates it in spades. All of the tracks are highlights but this release stands apart from the other live albums in the catalog for featuring a healthy dose of numbers not available in live incarnations elsewhere.
At the end of I'm Wanted, George sets the high expectations for this show and then DELIVERS:
We're gonna try to play some Rhythm and Blues for you all tonight.
Some Country and Western
And some Rock and Roll.
And then we're gonna start to party..."
