Solid effort , Relaxing music

"Five stars because it does what I need it to do :)
Contemplative - meditative - soothing. I think there
IS some Zen here. Gerald Markoe is a classically trained
musician (Julliard) and on this CD he puts his training,
along with asian harps, flutes, synthesizers, temple bells,
gongs and other natural sounds to very good use. I've had
this CD long enough that I've listened to it scores of
times and it never disappoints.
Mr. Markoe is also a Yoga instructor and the music here is
the kind of top notch stuff you hear when you go into a
New Age store and can't help but to ask "who is this playing
in the background?" You hear it and you want it, because its
not a "fluffy" or overly "sweet" sounding CD. Rather, it is
full of music and quiet at the same time.
I bought this CD because I was looking for some very
soothing flute music that had a little 'extra' (by way of instrumentation) - I like all sorts of electronic music
and Markoe strikes a great balance with his classical
training. If you've heard and enjoy talents such as
Deuter, I think you'll easily enjoy this CD. Recommended!

"Never heard of Gerald Markoe when buying this but this CD has a real nice selection of tracks to use whether just relaxing or using for some form of meditation"

"I love this cd. The music and nature sounds are truly relaxing and transporting. Mr Markoe is a master at blending melodies and harmonies and creating a listening experience that has a clean and clear intent. This cd had the same effect on me as when I first discovered Alan Watts and the Watercourse Way."
