"It's a pity this is out of print because it has to be one of the best late-night samplings of Gerry Mulligan I've ever heard (and I've been collecting Mulligan's recordings for more than twenty years now). Not only does it showcase his skills as a composer and arranger, but it proves definitively what a sensitive and creative soloist Mulliugan was. If the haunting "Theme for Jobin" doesn't rope you in from the beginning, nothing will. Track down this recording and watch your evenings come alive."
