"This is an amazing cd. Its got all the great geto boy tracks from over the years. Its got a good combination of old school and new school tracks by the geto boys. Its well worth the money. And if the cd wasn't good enough you also get a dvd with it that includes all the geto boy videos and loads of concert footage. Its a must but for any true rap fans."

"If you thought OutKast were the best South Coast group, wait till you hear Geto Boys! Geto Boys are, without a doubt, the best South Coast album ever and one of the best rap groups ever to be made. Originally formed in 1989, they didn't release an album until 1990 with 'MAKING TROUBLE'. From then on, Geto Boys have been releasing classic albums, like their 3 most anticipated ones- WE CAN'T BE STOPPED, GRIP IT ON THAT OTHER LEVEL and GETO BOYS. Their 'GREATEST HITS' is a collection of their many classics that the duo have done throughout the years. Though experiencing hard and rough times, the boys managed to get through it and still create some of rap's finest songs today. I don't know many South Coast artists, I only enjoy Geto Boys and OutKast music from the southside but the Geto Boys have really put the south on the map. I love this album to bits because it brings back such great memories I had. With their #1 classic MIND PLAYIN' TRICKS, their introduction to SCARFACE, the dark CHUCKIE, the incredible song that I reckon was a rap classic 'DAMN IT FEELS GOOD 2 BE A GANGSTA', mad song called LET A HOE BE A HOE, outstanding WORLD IS A GETO to loved by the many, CROOKED OFFICER, you will never get sick of this.Instead of buying crap from wannabe rappers like Nelly, get this. It's DEFINATELY well worth your money and is the perfect choice if you've just become a rap fan."
Geto Boys - Greatest Hits

"The Geto Boys "Greatest Hits" (2002) is an album I would recommend for any Rap collection. The Houston group was formed over two decades ago (1986) and today consists of Scarface (A.K.A. Brad Jordan), Willie D (A.K.A. Willie James Dennis) & Bushwick Bill (A.K.A. Richard Shaw). Three of the original members of the group moved on (DJ Ready Red, Jukebox and Prince Johnny C) very early in the groups career, while MC Big Mike served shortly as a temporary replacement when Willie D pursued a solo career. All three members of the group would pursue solo careers, with Scarface's being the most successful. They would split and reunite on two occasions, getting back together in 2005 for the "The Foundation". Track's on that release are not included on this release - noteable among those are the excellent "G Gode" and "Yes, Yes, Y'All". Collectively the trio delivered classic music which should not be slept on.

My favourite track's on this release are:

"Mind Playin' Trick's" - The Geto's Boys most successful single from the album "We Can't Be Stopped" (1991) - an outstanding story about the way one's thoughts get twisted when someones trying to kill them, praying to god and looking for an exit out of the game. The track samples Isaac Hayes "Hung Up On My Baby".

"Six Feet Deep" - Geto Boys created the ultimate R.I.P. track with this exceptional dedication to good friends who have died in the game. This track which was the lead single "Till Death Do Us Part" (1993) samples the Commodore's "Easy". Scarface, Big Mike & Bushwick Bill shine on this release while taking their audience through a funeral, reflecting on a good friends life, and the consequences of the choices we make.

"Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta" - Backed by some upbeat production the Geto Boys delivered another classic with this cut, full of outstanding lyrics. Scarface, Willie D & Bushwick Bill shine on this 1999 cut which was featured on "Office Space: The Motion Picture Soundtrack".
