"Giovanni is an Italian pianist whose repertoire, in the same niche as Clayderman, are mostly international popular songs. Unlike Clayderman,however, Giovanni is more expressive on piano. This cd includes a well known Mexican ranchera repertoire. There is Albelardo Pulido's classic Entrega Total which was made popular by Javier Solis to the more recent ranchera De que Manera te Olvido. The latter written by Federico Mendez and made popular by Vicente Fernandez. There is also the traditional rancheras such as Dos Arbolitos, Cancion Mixteca, and Cielito Lindo. Giovanni's approach does not use the orchestra background that other pianists such as Di Blasio, Clayderman, or Chia use. He uses pure piano and uses his feeling to interpret the most beautiful rancheras. If you like the piano players aforementioned you will love this cd. Add it to your collection."
