Velvety goth rock

"The artwork here is horrible - quasi-trance visuals with cheesy fonts straight out of websites circa 1996. This is a shame, since the album contains some smooth, well-done goth rock. The production is an organic mix of electronic and analogue elements. Sometimes the drums are machines, and sometimes they're live, but one doesn't notice because the vibe is so consistent; the word "velvety" comes to mind. Due to the calm male vocals, even the most rocking moments sound even-tempered. Although the lyrics are heavy on melodrama, the occasional female vocals add spice."
