CD Reviews
Very disappointing

"I can still rememer the first time I heard Glass Moon. I ran out and bought the "Growing In The Dark" LP and it rarely left my turntable. Ever since the advent of the CD, I have longed to have all the Glass Moon albums on CD (I have the vinyl still, including Dave Adams's solo album). I could hardly contain my excitement when I saw this CD available and I ordered it right away. After waiting an almost unbearable week, the CD arrived and I immediately cued up "On A Carrousel". I was crushed. I moved over to "Simon". Even more devastated. The remastering was terrible. It was slow and it sounded like it came from someone's vinyl copy, not from the master tapes. I was so disappointed that I emailed the company contact. In reply, I was told I basically had no clue what I was talking about. I was assured that the original masters were used (sorry, I can tell vinyl pops and hiss when I hear it), that it was not remastered slow (I have played my albums on many different turntables over the years and none of them sounded like this CD. My current turntable is perfectly calibrated), that it was a factory-produced CD (mine has a paper label and looks like a CD-R), and that it was too bad if I didn't like the CD because this was the only way I would EVER have Glass Moon on CD.
This is a very poor excuse for s remastered CD. This music is some of the best ever made in my opinion and it was a shame the band never gained much popularity. The music ia wonderful; too bad this CD is so woefully inadequate."

"Great songs , great band, where are they now ?Burning vinyl records on cd's ! Sound is poor. It seems like a poor home recording from mint condition LP's.
Songs are great, I wish I could get a good cd of Glass Moon, but these cd is PIRATA."

"First off this is not the slowly mastered CDR version first released in 2004 that the bad reviewers are taking about...this is the new corrected original replicated silver CD and it sounds very good for a vinyl transfer...it's been newly remastered at the correct speed now and is well worth picking up...it's two great albums at a very good price...for anybody into classy pomp rock this is well worth picking up...and the only way to get all of the tracks from both of these classic albums on CD."
Awesome

"I don't get the people saying this had bad sound reproduction. It sounds great on headphones on in my stereo.
I first bought the firet Glass Moon LP when I was 7 years old at a Garage Sale for 50 cents. I never heard of them but I thought the cover was cool. I fell in love with the music.
I was so happy when this was put onto CD.
Glass Moon was one of those rare rock 'n roll tragedies. They should have been at the top of the charts. But, whether it was poor management or not enough advertising, they never made it big but I am just happy to have this music on CD. And YES, it sounds great!"
