"Don't get confuse this Glenn Phillps with the one from Toad.
This Glenn Phillps is a very talented guitar player whose performances, backed up by a talented band, will be something you will remember for a long time. He has a string of albums
that are unbelievable. If it wasn't for a flood that
wiped out my basement I would still be playing them."

"Any thing this guy puts on tape is worth buying. He has one of the most singuler voices on guitar of anyone, bar none.If only we could get him to release the "glenn phillips band live".Believe me he's not for everyone but for those who seek true originality and creativity Glenn(Yes 2 n's)delivers.Instrumental rock that is deeply emotional and leaves cliche's behind."

"This is Glenn's first release in seven years. The music here is much gentler than what you may be accustomed to but his playing is more innovative than ever. Death is the central theme to this album due to his mother and sister both recently passing away as well as his dad's suicide 30 years ago. There are some wonderful background notes by Glenn on how these tragedies have affected him and he also talks about the various inspirations of each song. My fave is the opening track "Floaters" which Glenn says are `the spots and shadows that appear to be in front of your eyes but are not actually there. In that way, they remind me of the dead and their lingering presence in the lives of the living'. Some great guitar here!"

"Glenn Phillips simply has to be heard to be believed, and seeing him live is even better. His latest work carries on the Glenn Phillips tradition of pulling dazzling, heart stopping tricks one after another from a magician's hat, not leaving you time to gasp before racing on to the next incredible riff.
Phillips always works creatively with a group of excellent musicians, and they again provide a razor's edge, taut backing for the guitar explorations.
Phillips can do things on, with, and to a guitar you would not think musically possible.
If you're looking for "Toad the Wet Sprocket" you won't find them here, just one of the most original and creative musician's performing today....
