CD Reviews

ONE OF GLENN'S BEST
S. F Gulvezan | Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan USA | 01/30/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

""When Summer Ends," "The Warm and Gentle Girls," "No One To Talk My Troubles To" - this album is one of Glenn's best, and that's saying a lot. Glenn is a singer whose power lies not in mere vocal ability or performance (though he has both in abundance), but in his rare empathy for people, for his ability to get to the very heart of a song. Once you've heard Glenn sing a song like "When Summer Ends" it'll stick with you forever. My mom, when she was dying, said it would make her feel better if she could listen to some of Glenn's music."
What a Voice!!!!!!!

"I have loved Glenn Yarbrough since I was introduced to this album as a kid. His interpretations of Rod McKuen's poems/songs are amazing. I don't enjoy him as much as a part of the Limelighters, but their songs are fun. If you're feeling mellow, blue, sad, etc and want to let those feelings out so they go away, listen to Glenn. If you just want to listen to a delightful voice, mostly soft and soothing, listen to Glenn. If ya just want wonderful music, period, listen to Glenn. The only album of his that I don't particularly care for is the one he did with his daughter, and that's a pity."
Do not be cynical about love

"I love this album, Come Share My Life with Glenn Yarborough for its completely unashamed sentimentality, it makes me remember my youth when I loved this hard and being still married 40 years on to the same man, its good to remember."
