"The all movement of metalcore is now on the collapse. Every day's emerge a simultaneous In Flames clones to saturate the melodic death metal scene, but in the horizon they seems to appear a few bands with their distinctive sounds. God Forbid is one of those!! With an incredible guitar structures, good voice and chaotic drums, this album is over the top. There's no breaks here, this album is packed with metal, only metal!!! Recommended!!!"
Excellent, but not a Magnum Opus...

"The riffage on this disc is both complex and varied. The vocals range between singing and screaming. The closest comparison I can make is "At the Gates's Slaughter of the Soul" for the riffs. They're energetic and inspired. It's the best American metal I've heard in quite some time, though some may just label it as "metalcore" and leave it be. Frankly I hate labels like that. The vocals are better than most death metal ranging between hardcore and singing. The riffwork uses alot of death progressions, but that's a good thing. I tend not to hand out 5's. A 5 would be pink floyd's "the wall" or Nine Inch Nails's "Downward Spiral" or even "The Haunted's" "The Deadeye." This is the most comparable American CD to that record. It's missing something dark about it that "Deadeye" had."
