Synopsis

Product Description
Goes Cube s full-length debut blends punishing metal, rock and punk in the vein of Torche, Quicksand, Jesus Lizard, and Helmet. Their "sledgehammer assault is inescapably awesome, says Stereogum. Many bands get all uppity about how they hate labels and comparisons and all that, but Brooklyn s Goes Cube don t really care what you call them. They're just unpretentious like that no fancy gear, no fancy clothes or haircuts. They're simply three friends who are obsessed with making each song heavier, more intense, more glorious, and just plain better than the last. Stereogum has said that the band's "sledgehammer assault" is "inescapably awesome." Goes Cube's full-length debut entitled, Another Day Has Passed, will be released via THE END RECORDS in the Spring of 2009 and was produced by Dean Baltulonis (Sick Of It All, Most Precious Blood, Freya, Hold Steady).

CD Reviews

AMAZING!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"This album is amazing. Heavy as hell metal, thick sludge mixed with fierce hardcore and punk riffs. Not to mention stunning post-rock/metal expanses thrown in. Beautiful like Isis, Pelican and Torche; fierce like Das Oath, yet laden with all out rock, indie rock and melody. Bluest Sky starts this masterpiiece out fast. The song charges you up for the rest. The songs are diverse, heavy and yet catchy. To sum up the above: it's musically (to me) between Isis and Das Oath, with detail to melody like Torche. Fast, yet epic like At The Gates. Listen to it, and you won't be able to stop; my favorite 2009 release yet.

PS: I reccomend you buy the CD itself, the artwork by Sara Pedry is beautiful."
