"Of course, Golden Earring are the best dutch rock group especially acoustic ( all the acoustic sessions for the 1st and second quarter of 2001 are already sold out!) they didn't need to do this. the first cd is exactly the same as the edition of 1991. the extra tracks cd is very dissapointing, if you already have golden earrings second acoustics album Naked II, since two of the tracks are of that album (When the Lady Smiles and Going to The run), an alternate version of Jangalene which isn't really alternate. And an edited version of the acoustic version of Radar Love and who - for crying out loud- would like to have a 7 minutes masterpiece cut down to mere 4 minutes? That only leaves the three other tracks: Back Home, Just A little Bit Of Peace In My Heart and Don't Stop The Show. as always these tracks are greatly performed with Don't Stop the Show showing that true Rock 'n roll can be totally transferred to acoustic. If you haven't bought the naked truth, then buy this, you get a great acoustics cd and 5 extra tracks! If you already bought the Naked truth, then don't buy this. 5 extra songs aren't worth 20 bucks. in case you only bought Naked II and have decided to buy naked truth as well, take this one, you'll get three extra tracks that are worth your money."

"The first live Golden Earring recording that I was lucky enough to hear was the band on a bootleg LP, recorded in Germany 1969. This fantastic band was already big-time in Europe. The Earring's had all the ingredients in place...THEY ROCKED!!!
After the release of "Radar Love", from the incredible album entitled: "Moontan" I saw the band live at Winterland in San Francisco in 1974. Golden Earring were third on the bill to 2 other groups I have since forgotten about, Golden Earring had stolen the Show from whoever else was there that night, hands-down.
When the first live (and official) record came out in the late seventies, punk/junk was at it's peak and "Golden Earring Live" didn't reach the charts here in the USA. It did really well in Europe, but America was not listening anymore, and that was a shame, "Live" is a GREAT record from this GREAT band.
With: "Twilight Zone" all over MTV in 1984, Golden Earring was back, bigger than ever. But, it wouldn't be until 1996 for another live album to be released. That album was entitled: "The Naked Truth". It knocked my socks right off to hear the band in all their acoustic glory! This record COOKS from start to finish, it is just as powerful as the electric band, George Kooymans is on FIRE, all the way through this recording. Playing on fire, mean & fast...this ain't no CS&N concert! My favorite versions of: "Eight Miles High" and "Mad Love's Comin" are to be found right here on this record. Don't be fooled, the songs found on this disc are not mild acoustic unplugged versions. This is a blast of naked, raw Earring, they versions that are found here are the BEST versions I have heard. The version of "Twilight Zone" featured here is also killer, there are not enough words to express just how good this one is, and this 'Expanded Edition' is the one to purchase. There are seven more tracks included on the second disk, and you need em' (except for the edited version of Radar Love, it's not essential)
This band has more fire & energy than by members of other bands out there that are half the ages of these veteran rockers. This is real crunchy and raw rock music as performed by the original Dutch masters.
FIVE STARS !!!"
Which Naked to buy??

"The Naked Truth, Complete naked Truth and Fully Naked. Confused? Wondering which one to buy? Well, I prefer Fully Naked as it includes a few excellent versions of songs like Yellow And Blue and As Long As The Wind Blows that are better than studio. However, The Devil Made Me Do It included on Fully Naked (not the superior Naked II version) is pretty lousy. Unfortunately Fully Naked costs almost ten bucks more than The Complete Naked Truth. What to do? Well, I go for Fully Naked but only buy it if you're interested in the extra tracks, some of which are very good."
