Metalheadz is synonymous with quality drum ?n? bass ? it is the most recognized logo and label in the genre worldwide. Goldie, Metalheadz? main man, returns with the fifth installment of his Metalheadz/MDZ series. As the first superstar produced by the breakbeat jungle movement, Goldie popularized drum ?n? bass and brought it into the mainstream. He was one of the first personalities in British dance music, his gold teeth and b-boy attitude placed him leagues away from the faceless bedroom DJs in electronic music. (He even played a thug in the James Bond film, "The World is Not Enough"!) After forming Metalheadz, the label released seminal drum ?n? bass singles by Source Direct, Photek, J. Majik, Optical, Lemon D, Wax Doctor and Peshay, among others. 1995 saw the release of Goldie?s Timeless, one of the genres first and best full length albums. MDZ05 features an exclusive studio mix by Goldie that includes unreleased killers such as his own "Beachdrifter," "True Romance VIP" by D Bridge, "Star-Stepper" by Danny C, and Marcus Intalex?
