"To the article below, it's people like who give humans a bad name. You criticize people for their typing? How lame is that? You should be ashamed. What are you an english teacher? Sorry, I just found that offensive.
Anyways, as for the album, Good Charlotte really shows their maturity as a band, and as human beings, really showing their thought of understanding the world around them and who we are. I'm really not a big GC fan, but I would have to admit that this album does have some great songs and they have the whole "I don't care if you like this album or not, I'm doing this because I want to express myself" attitude, which I believe is a great attitude to have as an artist. So if you haven't given GC a try, give it a whirl, and see what it does for ya.

"I wouldn't call myself a hardcore GC fan back then(never been to their concerts, don't have any memorobila of them, besides their cds) but ever since I saw the special edition Import version of the Chronicles of Life and Death Version 4 years ago--after I purchased the death version.. I just knew I had to buy it.
Unfortunately.. I was not able to find this special edition (originally found exclusively in Japan)) of Chronicles of Life Death until about 2 years after I bought the Death Version (I got the Death version in the mail on the first day it came out).
It took me 2 freaking years searching on ebay to find a legit copy of this version. And in those two years, I ended up buying 3-4 cds on ebay that had the same "cover art." Sadly, 3 out of four ended up being the onormal "life" and "death" versions of the cds(seller excuses: Ohh.. sorry, I didn't look at the cover art of the actual copy of cd I sold compared to the image I put on ebay). I ended up returning two of them, and one of them I could not return--because the seller refused to accept return my emails.. and I did not pay through paypal, therefore I did not have buyer protection back then). That copy, I ended up giving to a friend as a birthday present.
But finally.. Around the year 2006, I found a legit copy with a correct description of the CD I was looking for and purchased it from an asian retailer via ebay.. And low and behold, I finally found the correct copy! I end up paying somewhere around $16.00-$25.00 for the import copy (don't remember how much it was exactly), but I was happy that I got the rare import anyway and thought it was worth it at the time, as I was an avid collector of rare coins, albums, etc back then.
DIFFERENCES between this version VS the "life" and "death" album versions:
1.This version's album has the same content as the other 2 versions INSIDE the album art save for the different front album art and back album art.
2. This version has an extra booklet that contains the lyrics of the entire album in Japanese.
3. The CDS of all 3 versions each have a different color. I don't know what the Life Version's CD looks like (never had a chance to open it because I returned it unwrapped, while searching for the special import version).. But the Death version CD color is maroon, while the import version's cd color has more of a dark sepia tone.
4. The import version of the CD itself, has both the exclusive "Life" track (Falling Away), and the "Death" track (Meet My Maker), as well as The Japanese version of the hit single, "Predictable" as bonus tracks. Only the beginning verse of the Japanese version of Predictable is voiced in Japanese.
***What isn't mentioned though on this page or in the album art.. Is that this CD also contains the hidden track "Wounded" in the second half of track 17. Predictable (Japanese Version), which also appears in the end of the original "Death" Version of the album (again, I'm not sure if the Life Version has it). (:
Finally I only recommend this rare version of Chronicles of Life and Death for hardcore GC fans and collecters--if you can even find it online anymore in the first place.
If you ever do find a copy of this hard to find album on ebay, amazon, another online site.. Ask the seller beforehand, if it is the correct version. Ask them if they have the the 17 tracks (VS the 15 the "life" and "death" versions have each) for further verify or else buying the regular versions or getting scammed--whether the seller actually knows it or not.
Otherwise.. You can only get this album from import online stores or go to Japan yourself. Although I'm betting they stopped producing this version a long time ago.
Oh and by the way.. I already published review for the "Death" version of the album on November, 2004. So please read for more info if you don't have the CD yet..
