"A gorgeous representation of the Previn/Mercer Musical Score. Orchestrated by John William's legendary arranger - Herbert W. Spencer, this cd is a gem. Judi Dench gives an extremely moving rendition of "Darkest Before Dawn" and the bump-and-grind of the tunes is very infectious. "Slippin' Around the Corner" is another rich melody that lingers in the ears. If you enjoy music-hall variety numbers and literate lyrics, then this is the score for you.
