Synopsis

Album Description

Gordon Bok's album, "Gatherings", features harper Carol Rohl and a host of other Maine musicians. A favorite for folks who've heard Bok 'n' Rohl in concert, "Gatherings" includes several South American tunes arranged for guitar and harp. Also appearing are the spirited Quasimodal Chorus, of which both are members, and likewise the fabulous a cappella ensemble, The January Men. And then there are solo pieces: Bok's signature guitar work and moving vocal expression. "Gatherings" is a sharing of the joy of getting together with good friends (fine musicians all) to make music.

Mellow Tunes from a Master

"I was captivated from the first tune by his mellow voice and the delicate plucked or hammered string accompaniment (couldn't decide exactly what instrument he's playing), but it is just beautiful! I'm a folk music fan and this really hit the spot.
