"+AH4-If your musical soul is open to timeless themes of compassion, caring, and love, GRACE GRIFFITH'S latest recording, SANDS OF TIME, should be a "must have" in your collection.
Co-produced by bassist and recording engineer Chris Biondo, keyboardist Lenny Williams, and multi-instrumentalist Marcy Marxer, these musicians back up Grace with inspired elegance. Grace and company dedicate this work to the late Eva Cassidy, whose musical legacy continues to flourish world-wide, seven years after her+AH4-+AH4- passing.
Grace's soft, pure, healing voice has never sounded better, and here are my favorite tracks:
REBIRTH-music set to a 1000 year old Vietnamese poem, sung and played with exquisite beauty.
'TILL THEY DISCOVERED MUSIC is an uptempo change of pace, illustrating how primitive people were incomplete until music became part of their lives.
MOMENT OF FOREVER (Kris Kristofferson),is Grace's profoundly moving tribute to her friend Eva Cassidy.
This is music at it's best,listenable+AH4-+AH4- anytime-sad,happy,introspective,spiritual-just don't deprive yourself of this wonderful CD.+AH4-"

"Grace Griffith's new CD "Sands of Time" is a beautiful collection of timeless music. She has a lovely crystal clear voice that projects peace, gentle caring and love. Produced by the Emmy winning team of Lenny Williams and Chris Biondo with multi-talented Marcy Marxer, the selections and arrangements are pure magic. Lenny and Chris are both former members of the Eva Cassidy band. Lenny, Eva's incredible pianist and Chris her terrific bass player and the person most responsible for all that we know of Eva's music. The far-reaching legacy of Eva Cassidy is now honored with this wonderful CD dedicated to her memory. It is a fitting tribute. Each selection is outstanding. Especially notable are the last two cuts.. "Till They Discovered Music" a happy, upbeat song on the joys of music and the beautiful final song, "Moment of Forever" written by Kris Kristofferson & Danny Timms, my personal favorite. Take a gentle journay with Grace and her music, any path you travel will be made easier with Grace singing in the background."

"Grace Griffith's Sands of Time stands on its own as wonderful piece of work from a sensitive artist. At first I was sceptical that I would be satisfied, despite the comparisons to Eva Cassidy. In the end, without having heard any previous albums from Grace Griffith, I am moved by her renditions of well-known songs that she recasts with such conviction that there is little doubt of the rightness of the interpretation.
Grace's voice, while not as evocative as Eva's, has a lyric and tender quality that somehow just makes me think of a female cross between Neil Young and John Denver (I know that probably sounds odd, but meant in the best way possible). I have played this album more times than I'd care to admit and my pleasure has just increased with each listening. So much peace and, well, grace... a classic New Age album that plays from the heart, but engages with the mind as well."
Pure Grace and Beauty!

"I ordered this album because a singer whom I greatly admire, Eva Cassidy, was a big fan of Grace Griffith. Now I understand why! Wow! This is an album that I can listen to over and over again. Any of Eva's millions of fans will find "Moment of Forever" to be every bit as emotionally gripping as Eva's "I Know You By Heart." What an influence Grace's lovely phrasing must have been, and how lucky we are still to have Grace with us!"
