The best new Bonnie Raitt disc in years

"I hope Grace doesn't mind the comparison, it seems unlikely she hasn't heard it before. This is a really good disc. The song "Nothing but the Water" has been my drive to work song for weeks. It's got the best killer hammond organ since the Delta 72. "Toothbrush and my Table" is a classic. The first line is "I came back home with a jewel missing out of my crown". Who hasn't had a morning like that. Other standout songs are "Left Behind", "Treat Me Right", "Sweet Hands", and "Joey". This disc also comes with a Live DVD from a preformance in a small bar. It's great to see her in action. If you Like Bonnie, Susan Tedeschi, Rory Block, Toni Price, Maria Muldaur, etc. You'll like this."
Headed for the big time, not passing go

"This album rocks. The only thing better is seeing them live. I saw them at the Independent in SF a year ago. Then I saw them headlining at the same place last week. Inagine Bonnie Raitt meets Norah Jones meets Led Zeppelin and you'll half an idea what these guys are about. And founded in Canton, NY no less."
Great live, excellent album

"Bonnaroo. There are some bands you see there that you know are gonna kick some (Petty, Beck). Then there are those that you have never heard of that put those artists in the shadows. This band is one of them. I was just walking by this show, and couldnt leave. I then went straight to the tower records tent and bought this album, which stands right up to par with the awesome performance. This album is straight up rock with an edge, and if you ever get the chance to see them live, you wont be dissapointed."
Very promising new artist

"There is a blues and gospel influence on the songs on this disc although the songs are not straight blues or gospel. You can hear this in Grace's voice and the arrangements. She reminds me somewhat of Susan Tedeschi, who is also from New England. This is a very strong effort from a young artist. I think she can be around a long time if she stays true to her roots and avoids doing work that the record companies think they can sell better."
Another great one.
