CD ReviewsHear this through the Grapevine 06/24/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "Homegrown Pittsburgh band, Grapevine, claims "Star" as their first studio release. Featured on the Pittsburgh X-Files '99 CD released by WXDX, and onstage alongside The Clarks, Grapevine has gained a lot of positive attention for their sound. This CD undoubtedly captures some great highmarks in their advancing musical career through the songs, "Comfortable" and "In My Head" among others. Lead vocalist Jean-Marc Azoury leads the crew with attitude, style and energy in their live shows. Kevin McDonald, Kenny Pardiny and Chris Jamison are also essential to the sound and overall appeal of the band. "Star" is a must-have CD for fans of The Clarks (who, incidentally played a part in fostering the growth of Grapevine) and also for any fans of local Pittsburgh music. They are sure to be present, if not prevalent in the upcoming music scene in Pennsylvania and nationwide. Why not get the buzz going through the "grapevine" now?"
