The quality you expect from Greater Vision

"Here is a great album from 1996 (over a decade ago) which already has GV's trademark high quality. I believe this is Jason Waldroup's first album with them. It has some classic slower songs, like "He Gave Me The Well" and "If There's No God." It is interesting to see that the group's vocal style has evolved a little, and, in some respects, improved since then, but I really enjoy Rodney Griffin on this album. A couple of the faster songs ("I Don't Want To Go Back" and "Lift Me Up Above The Shadows") just aren't produced with the same taste that later albums show, but the album opens with possibly the best version of "He Set Me Free" that I've ever heard. They slowed it down a little with a more laid-back feel, "slide into" their notes just right, and have an introduction, short break, and ending of perfect electric guitar playing. This album is well worth the money.

But it is incorrectly listed here as a live album. This is all studio ... GV's first live album was "Live At First Baptist Atlanta," which came out just a few years ago.

Edit: I don't know if I can take the credit or not, but I see it is no longer listed as "live." Great!

I would like to add that this album has only grown on me the more I listened to it."
