"Well after witnessing the velvety one himself only last evening in the sweatbox that is the Arches in Glasgow, i am moved to review this cd, that which the above mentioned show was based around. This release follows on from previous releases with the usual mix of solid techno, electronic trickery, beats, blips, bleeps, vocals and social commentary, not to mention sheer funked up, i said funked, musical madness that is Green Velvet. 12 tracks in all. Not a bad one among them, though some stronger than others. Highlights for me are Temptation with really cool vocals which some may find comical but there is a fine line they say between genius and , well, whatever. No Sex with its commentary, Come back which will get you headbanging, Bathroom a slower track with some home truths and Pin-up Girl the closer. If you are a fan you wont be disappointed so i recommend it. If not then check it out, this is techno with fun, depth and a little bit of heart and soul. See you in la la land."

"Green Velvet seems to have lost something. Maybe its the gritty black techno sound of Chicago or maybe its that he's gone heavily towards a European Electro sound. Who knows all I know is that this is not his best effort. Plus I think he's born again or something because there's alot of born again sounding propoganda and bible quotes through out."
