Synopsis

Amazon.com
Talk about making a good first impression. "Shelter," the leadoff track from Soma Holiday, is a carryover from the blockbuster Spider-Man soundtrack. It's the ultimate score for Missouri newcomers Greenwheel, a meat-and-potatoes American rock band that operates somewhere between Matchbox Twenty and Nickelback. Heavy guitars and easy hooks propel songs like "Strong" and "Dim Halo" into pyrotechnic-shooting arena territory, but the group also has a sensitive side to contend with on more contemplative cuts like "Breathe" and the impressively colossal "Identity." The platinum records are theirs for the taking. --Aidin Vaziri

"You can put this album in and just play it all the way through. I suspect Greenwheel will have many more good ones to came after listening to this CD. I love these guys. Thier music is down to earth and positive."
Over and over again the CD spins

"See, Amazon.com serves a wonderful purpose. The reason I got this album was because of all of the great reviews I saw on here, regarding this album. Radio here sparsely plays "Breathe", so I thought this was a Modern Rock one hit wonder band. Well, that couldn't be further from the truth.Soma Holiday is a refreshing collection of catchy songs that enable the listener to spin the entire CD without skipping a track. It's a rarity you find an album like this. This is the best album I've heard since the Foo Fighers "There is Nothing Left to Lose". My favorite songs include "Breathe", "Sustain You", "Identity", "Dim Halo", "Disappear", and "Radiance". This album is Grammy worthy. Word of mouth begins here."

"I'm not easily impressed. I love the song "Shelter," so I picked up the CD. I went track after track, wondering when it was going to start..., like so many CDs with one or two hard driving hits and weak filler. This CD only gets stronger, track after track, listen after listen.
Let's compare it to Matchbox 20's first CD. "Long Day" came out, I ran out and bought the CD. The rest of the CD was middle of the road, watered down rock. This Greenwheel CD is what the rest of the MB20 CD should have sounded like. (What do I know? It only sold a bizillion copies.)
A more accurate comparison would be to Fuel. "Louder than Words" sounds very much like "Jesus or a Gun." "Breathe" would fit nicely Fuel's latest CD. The rest of the Greenwheel CD is more hard driving rock.
My favorite tune on the CD is "Drowning Man," but the whole is CD is very, very consistently good. Make no bones about it: this CD rocks from start to finish. There is absolutely no need to skip tracks on this CD, which is hard to find these days.
Another thing I like about this CD is the production. The music is equally as loud as the voice track. It's not just a pretty voice with ear candy in the background. The rock hits you in the face, giving your speakers a good workout.
BUY IT. Though Greenwheel will be compared to other artists, they have plenty to call their own."
