I have Greg Trooper's entire catalog and this disc is among the highlights. It was produced by Garry Tallent (From Bruce Springsteen's E Street band fame). "Light In The Window" features backing vocals from Steve Earle and was written by Trooper and Jon Walmsley (who used to play Jason on the tv show The Walton's) The album also includes "We Won't Dance"- a song Trooper wrote that also appeared on a Vince Gill album. "Little Sister" is another Trooper song that has been covered by Steve Earle. "The Heart" is another highlight and features vocals by The Roches. Perhaps the best song here is "Hannah's Dream" and that makes it even sadder that this album is now a hard-to-find out-of-print album. If you can't find this album, you can find live versions of some of these songs on Greg's "Between A House And A Hard Place" album.

Superb album; his best overall effort by far!

"Having heard of all of Greg Trooper's recordings, I have to say that this is his best overall effort....



there is absolutely no filler and most of the songs are superb...



admittedly, I have the original issue, so the bonus tracks are not part of this review......



an album worthy of the "desert island" cliche....
