"This is a new and a very serious group that plays the Cuban son with such style that I think would set the standard for a long time to come.The group is led by the talented bass player, Armando Machado, who played with Cuarteto Patria before forming this group. He is joined by the brilliant Joaquin Solorzano on bongos, congas and bata drums, who also played with Cuarteto Patria.In addition to the above two, the group also consists of Tres guitar, second guitar and maracas. Lead voice is provided by the second guitarist and corus is provided by the remainder.The music arrangements presented on this CD, the very high standard of playing and the singing clearly demonstrates that this group has a great deal of talent and experience behind it.To say that this is toe-tapping music is an under-estimation. I challenge any one to listen to this CD without wanting to get up and dance the son."
