"I have relatives in Bavaria who are musicians, and they are friends of this band, so on a trip to the US a few years ago, they brought me a few CDs. It's hard to describe all the different ways "Stilles Potpourri" is wonderful. It's not Bavarian folk music, if that means oom-pah bands, but Haindling's musical heritage is clearly in the Bavarian folk tradition (and they're obviously proud of it). All sorts of world influences are at work here, and some meld spectacularly, and others are merely really really good. We play the CD at dinner parties as background music, but invariably it will catch someone's attention. My pre-school daughters dance to it. I take it to work with me. Nothing would make me happier than to see Haindling gain a following of people in the states smart enough to appreciate music that hasn't been handed to them by Top 40 radio and MTV. They're that good."

"Haindling is a very small village in Lower-Bavaria. The artist took this name and called himself "Haindling". This CD is for everyone who loves bavarian folkmusic melted with jazzy or other world-music elements.A Tip for everyone who wants to hear something new, and is fed-up with stupid,monotone radio music!"
