"About 3 weeks before I heard about this project I was listening to several Numb cds and thinking to myself "I wish Don Gordon would do an entire album of stuff like the instrumentals on these." Flash to Halo_Gen: not exactly what I wished for (definitely more ambient and less beatious than the instrumentals of Numb) but in the end it turned out I was wishing for the wrong thing. This is one of the best electronic albums I've heard so far this year. It's sound is that of a sweeping movie score for the creepiest sci-fi flick in history. The tracks range from quieter and contemplative (trinity, sutra, meme [recessive]) to dark and frightening (nVIR, halo, tesseract) and ususally both in the same song. In the end the album ends up being superb new venture from Gordon and an album any electronic fans, casual and hardcore alike, should be ordering today."
It's Like fumbling in the dark.

"A great cd, in my opinion. Very dark and ambient sounds, combined with energizing beats. It reminds me a lot of cEvin Key's work with Plateau, or the last Download album. I was expecting something really noisy and discordant, along the lines of Numb, but this is really well structured and ear-friendly. It probably won't change your life, but I find it enjoyable to listen to."
