"I am from Singapore, who had bought particularly a CD on Hank Marvin (Ex-Shadows) for my dad as a birthday present, who was a staunch fan of the shadows in the 60s - some 4 years ago. I immediately become a fan same as my dad, when I started hearing Hank Marvin's guitaristic tunes.Till today, for 4 years since purchasing the guitaristic CD - I am still very impressed for the guitaristic tunes in the 60s. I particulary like the 'Summer Holiday' guitaristic tune played by Hank Marvin - which was played absolutely fantastic (in remix sort of style esp the guitaristic tunes) - I could go on hearing and hearing again - and I wouldn't get tired of it. I like other musical tracks as well - 'I could easily fall(in love w/ you), 'It's all in the game', 'living doll', 'the young ones' etc..,I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys musical guitars of the 60s."
Nostalgic trip down memory lane in the modern musical idiom

"Those who remember these songs have very emotional feelings for them as they represent their youth. Yet as they have grown up and matured their own personal tastes have too and listening again to their favourite songs in the way they were originally performed would not only sound hollow but could also be rather depressing. What Marvin has done here - together with a bit of help from his son and daughter not to mention someone called Cliff! - is to give them a somewhat Nineties feel without losing out on the beauty of the nostalgia that they represent to the listeners who have lived these romantic songs. The list of songs on the album is enough to elicit a great dose of nostalgia, so go for it. You should enjoy it."
