"Thank God or whoever thought it was important to bring back the very best of the legends of country music on CD. This is one of the very best examples of what western swing really is. A must for every person who wants to see what country was. I only hope it comes back."

"If you take away the cigarettes and whiskey from the voice of Ernest Tubb, and add the smoothness of Charlie Walker, you end up with Hank Thompson. This greatest hits compilation is a "must have" for fans of true country & western music. Hank rarely strayed from the 2 1/2 minute song, and on this album are 12 of his best, including the infamous "Wild Side of Life" and "A Six Pack to Go". I'm not sure if you'll ever hear the politically incorrect "Squaws along the Yukon" on today's wussy Country Radio, but there was a time when country music was not force fed to the masses of the great unwashed. Thank God for Hank Thompson's contribution."
