"There's no new material or recordings with this, but its all three of hank III's albums for the price of buying just one. All three of my albums are getting old and scuffed up so it good to buy this to keep in good condition for collecting purposes. Or if your just getting into hank buy this to hear all his music without spending a lot. Always great music and never disapointing."

"Couldn't agree more with the other review. Although I'm bummed that it's nothing more than the first three albums in a metal tin, its also is nice to have a unique holder for them and as stated earlier, it's nice to replace those old beat up cds that have been played to death. I wish that I was just starting to like Hank cuz it would be awsome to grab all three albums at once rather than shelling out 40 or 50 bucks for the three on their own. So pick it up if you are a new fan or an old grizzled vet like me. Look for the new album at the end of October as well."
Awesome deal for new Hank III fans! You'd be dumb not to buy

"If you're not familiar with Hank Williams III, then well... the name should explain it all! He's the grandson of Hank Williams and the son of Hank Williams, Jr. The similarity of his voice to that of his grandfather's is uncanny and to get a good idea of what his music is like, just imagine Hank Williams, Sr. singing over rowdy Country music about drugs, booze, Satan, and women! There is absolutely no resemblance whatsoever of his estranged father and if you're a Hank Jr. fan, you may be in for a disappointment with this type of music. But then again, I am neither a Hank Jr. fan OR a Country music fan, so take what I say with a grain of salt. I appreciate Hank Williams III for his style, attitude, associations, and incorporation of the whole Punk Rock vibe into his music, thus making me a fan.
This Collector's set is basically just Hank's first three (III) albums (RISIN' OUTLAW, LOVESICK BROKE AND DRIFTIN', and STRAIGHT TO HELL) in the same individual packaging and collectively placed in a cool tin, which bears Hank's trademark fiddle-playing Devil on the front.
I already own all of those albums and don't plan on buying this set because I'm not really a Hank III collector. However, judging by the EXTREMELY low price of this item it's needless to say that I highly recommend this set for new fans or hardcore fans of this great, rebellious Country artist. Even if you already own one or even two out of the three albums featured in this set, you should definitely buy this. You'll be getting the remaining album(s) AND a collector's tin for pretty much the same price, if not a few dollars more. Also, according to this item's description, the STRAIGHT TO HELL bonus disc is included, which features the song "Louisiana Stripes" as well as a very impressive twenty minute or so medley of a lot of Ambient noise, some bootleg Acoustic songs, and a cover of Cheech and Chong's "Up In Smoke".
Hank III is more Punk than most 'Punk' bands out there and his music (especially STRAIGHT TO HELL) is a reflection of that. If you like rowdy, pickup truck drivin', beer drinkin', shotgun blastin' Country that gives a big middle finger to the whole Pop Country scene, then Hank III is your huckleberry and this set of albums is where you need to start."
Excellent value! The place to begin with Hank III!

"I've been holding off buying Hank III's "Straight To Hell" album. But nothing prepared me to find not just that album but Hank III's previous two albums on the Curb Records label in a tin for $14.99.
For those who don't have these three albums this is a magnificent value from an artist who is above and beyond what his namesake suggests. His voice is eerily reminiscent of his grandfather mixed in with the showmanship of his daddy steeped in oldskool outlaw country attitude with some heavy punk influence thrown in for good measure. Nothing in this set is watered down at all. This is authentic country music brought back alive and kickin' and leavin' its indelible footprints afterwards.
While the old outlaws of country are slowly going away Hank III's vitality means that it ain't goin' away without a hellbent fight to the death.
This set is a must-own! Buy a couple for yourself and your friends! You could pay $18.99 just for "Straight To Hell" or get all of this for $14.99! Very good stuff! It's money well spent and you may wind up making a few new friends along the way.
In any case (of whiskey or circumstance, depending on your perspective) this makes all those "Friends In Low places" seem like posers. This makes "pop country" sound as false, emasculated and pretentious as Hank III makes it out to be. And he's damn right!"

"It's the first three Curb releases of Hank Williams III. If you like your CD's in a tin box this is for you. If you don't know the work of Hank Williams III than this is for you. Very affordable. Don't buy the edited version that Wal*Mart will sell you."
