CD ReviewsNo fun uttern | sweden | 04/21/2007 (2 out of 5 stars) "well, I love hanoi rocks old albums, and I love twelve shots, but this album is below there standard, sounds like a decent mike monroe album not a hanoi rocks album, best track is a cover of phil lynotts dear miss lonely hearts and worst is reggea rocker (the worst song they have ever recorded), I really wanted this album to be great, but it's not, sorry" SO UNDERRATED IT HURTS. Lambchops | Toronto | 06/29/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "This album is kind of a transition between the Twelve Shots on The Rocks and Street Poetry. Don't let the other reviews fool you....i actually prefer this to 12 Shots. This album as a whole is a little less rock than the 12 Shots album but features some great tracks, some of the best tracks of Hanoi's career.
For example: Devil In You - a classic and reminds me of Whispers In The Dark. Center of My Universe - a great track with inspiring lyrics and awesome vocals. A nice ballad indeed. Think of Don't You Ever Leave Me. 2. Back in Yer Face - a solid rocker. 8. Eternal Optimist - mid tempo rocker. 10. No Compromise, No Regrets - very catchy tracks whose lyrics sum up their career. 11. Reggae Rocker = experimental - as Hanoi always were. 12. You Make the Earth Move - another ballad-y song. 15. Dear Miss Lonely Hearts - Phil Lynott song. Buy it. YOu know you want to....you will be happy. " |
