Unknown, but fantastic

"I bought this CD after learning that it had got the Deutschen Schallplatten Kritik and being recommended by a German friend.The concerts cover different ages of Pfitzner and were dedicated to outstanding cello players, as Mr. Gaspar CassadoOf course, after being composed 50 years appart you hear a lot of differences, but the original genius is there. If pressed to find something similar I will say that Dvorak.The concerts are different and from four movements, to only one. My favorite is the one in G major.Mr. David Geringas at the cello does a fantastic job and the orchestra knows exactly what and when is needed. Conducting server music by Mr. Albert.CPO is again one of the best recording companies around and this makes this CD ireesistible.Highly recommended."
