With his second solo release ?Sau Gut?, Hans York continues to gracefully walk a line between Pop, Rock, Jazz, and World music. His warm and unique voice ties it all together while the compositions range from a more classical approach (?Nicole,? a Cello octet with clarinet, flutes and voice) to a Pop/World sound (?Ich Dreh Mich Nicht Im Kreis? ? ?I don?t go in circles?) incorporating Brazilian percussion (Pandeiro) and a tenor sax solo by New York saxophonist Andy Middleton (Ralph Towner, Dave Holland) to ?Loslassen? (?Letting Go?), an odd meter (5/4) Jazz inspired piece that resembles Sting or Dave Matthews at their best. With ?Karawane? (Caravan), Hans enters the eastern/African landscape with a soulful, danceable beat and the longing to find a way out of the desert.
