"This CD is not totally singles of Happy End;it contains singles of three out of four members. Hosono Haruomi,yes,the most famous member who later forms YMO with Sakamoto Ryuichi.His first single songs are on this disc.They are cut from his first album "Hosono House".





Please do not forget the other seminal member;Ohtaki Eiichi.Unlike Hosono,Ohtaki has more talents in writing very very good melodies which are based on the Beatles and american girl groups in 1960's.Here are his 2 singles(4 songs).The third song "Sora Tobu Kujira"(the flying whale)is a killer tune that will please beatle fans.His first album "Ohtaki Eiichi"(a couple is kissing on the jacket)is really good,as good as Hosono House.Ohtaki's most famous album is "A Long Vacation" which is the brilliant masterpiece.





Fans of Happy End will be surprised that this CD does not have that familiar song "Kaze Wo Atsumete". Amazingly,that song was not cut as a single. "Haikara Hakuchi" is here a rare version different from the original and the other version on CITY(best album).





If you want to dig songs of each member of Happy End,this is the good place to start."
