"There are never enough opportunites to hear Harlan Ellison speak. His presentation is riviting and uplifting. The best description I can think of is listening to your favorite uncle tell you stories. Not the uncle who works for IBM. The other uncle, the one who stood up against the House of UnAmerican activities and didn't care. Many of the topics that he addresses are still relevent now.
In an age of pundits and sound-bites the fact that CNN has not given Mr. Ellison his own talk show displays the cowardice our news media has for any voice that does not support the corporate structure. Every one talks about "thinking out of the box" but very few people can tolerate those who truely do.

"Harlan Ellison is a fantastic writer - there's now disputing that. But he is also one heck of a great public speaker. He's funny, well read (obviously), incredibly intelligent, and instantly relatable. These are some of his best stories, even more fantastic because they're true! Give this disc (you should listen to Vol. 1 as well) a spin only if you like a little depth with your humor. Highly recommended."

"An excellent CD. Harlan Ellison is brilliant and hilarious. Deep Shag is releasing Volume 3 on April 24, 2007. I will definitely be getting that as well."
