"I was very glad to finally get this import CD.Another archive Hawkwind reissue.I barely even knew about the fanzine 'Hawkfan 12',in which apparently many of these cuts were taken from. Two of these tracks are from early '80's gig bootlegs,"Ejection" and "Ghost Dance".A couple of these tunes are of other decent space rock artists I've never heard of,like Underground Zero, with "Aimless Flight" and Dark Empire introducing themselves with their song "Human Race".'Elf&The Hawk' is quite an interesting release. There's a Dave Brock cut here I've never heard of,"Burn Me Up" which is one of the better tracks on the entire disc. Then there's the Alan(The Elf)Davey EP,'Cosmic Dawn' which is a must-have for all true Hawkfans. The band PXR.1 does a nice 12-minute cover of "Spirit Of The Age"(sounds SO much like Hawkwind, you may not know it isn't them without looking at the liner notes).May be aimed toward Hawkwind completists and collectors, but this CD should appeal to even casual/possible new fans.Recommended, for it's rarity alone."
