"Bob Calvert was such a brilliant songwriter (if not that a brillaint singer) making this album worth listening to for not just us hard-sotted space rock fans but everyone who went through (as I did) or would like to get a feel of the 70s, a brillaint album!Ad"

"Excellent period piece from an often neglected time of the Hawks. Any Hawk fan should buy this in preference to the many dubious quality comps and cash in albums, if only to get the ultra rare Time for sale (a proper Calvert track, not another meandering instrumental recorded in a cement mixer.) and Back on the streets a single from 77 hardly available else where. Quality sleeve, decent length, reasonable sound, (it was 20+ years ago, bound to be a bit ropey.) Well done Griffin, now can we have some more please?"

"An excellent recording of the last night of the "Astounding" UK tour. Calvert's voice sounds completely shot and some of the tracks are rather loose but then it would not be Hawkwind if everything was perfect! Highly recommended and, for those of us who were there, a wonderful trip down memory lane (or acid alley)."
"The CD title in this posting is one word off,it's NOT '...Stories'.It's 'Thrilling Hawkwind Adventures'.It's basically a shorter/edited down version of the 2-CD Voiceprint label pressing 'Atomhenge '76'(see my review). It's been cut from 84 minutes down to 53 minutes, but I believe it was released a year earlier, but that doesn't matter,at least now.Seven tracks total, recorded at a fall 1976 gig at London's Hammersmith Odeon.Remember, this was co-founder Nik Turner's last tour with the band as a permanent member."Brainstorm" is okay sounding,as I was fairly impressed with the Calvert/House/King penned "Uncle Sam's On Mars",the unreleased "Time For Sale" and Michael Moorcock's classic recital "Sonic Attack".The source tape they used to master this CD may've very well been an audience cassette.Still worth having a copy of.Most Hawkfans shouldn't have a problem with it.Cool cover."
Great Live CD

"Im fairly new to Hawkwind, so unfortunately didnt see this concert actually performed (I actually wasn't even born yet) But this seems to be a great example the hawks live. The sound quality is superb, especially compared to Bring Me the Head or Complete '79. I definately recomend it to any fan, or even those new to the band."
