"We discovered Hayes Carll's music on XM Radio's "X Country" channel--it was his song "Highway 87." Had to get the CD! This album will not disappoint. Carll is a Houston native who spent several years living at Crystal Beach on the Bolivar peninsula in Galveston County. Lifelong residents of SE TX ourselves, we have traveled Highway 87 numerous times on the way to ride the Galveston ferry. Every song on here is good. This is true, genuine Southeast Texas music flavor. Big things are ahead for Hayes Carll."
